I have been meaning to write to you since my family and I moved to our new home, but being a new father and having a new job, sure takes more time than I thought.

As you know, my wife and I were looking for a nice home to buy. We looked and looked until a realtor told us about this new home that had become available. After having seen what was available on the market at that time, I was very disappointed and remember loosing my hopes about finding a nice place to live. I remember setting up the appointment to come and see what is now our home. My wife and I were not ready for this nice surprise. I remember walking in to the house for the first time, and we looked at each other instantly and knew immediately that after six months of looking for a house to buy, we finally have found "our dream home".

Immediately we saw the quality and incredible workmanship, the attention to detail throughout the beautiful home. Having sold my house, which was also a new construction, I wanted to buy a new home. I thought that my old house was well built, but I was so wrong about it. I can honestly say that I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with "Hamilton Homes" and personally with you "John".

My wife, my son and myself are enjoying every minute in our home. I wanted you to know that we appreciate working with some one so professional, full of passion, integrity and so personable. We want you to know that it has been a pleasure to buy a home from you personally. Thank you for accommodating our needs.

In addition, when my mother in law told me she wanted to buy a new home, I immediately suggested contacting you. Now, she is getting ready to take ownership of her new home; yah! another beautiful home built by Hamilton Homes, and I am very sure she will also find her experience as great a one as ours. We wanted to complete the "punch list" items before writing this letter to you. Having satisfactorily completed that item, it now seems like the appropriate time to thank you for our beautiful, well built home.

As you know, we went through an extensive search of Cape Cod builders before making our decision to select Hamilton Homes. With our construction background, albeit a commercial one, my husband and I felt we had an edge to find the "perfect" builder. There are many good home builders on Cape Cod, and we met quite a few of them, but some of the primary attributes we sought in our builder was someone we could talk to; someone who would comprehend what we were looking for; someone who would be passionate about building our home.

After our first initial meeting with you, we walked away, looked at each other and said, "yes; he’s the one". Then we waited for you to come back to us with our initial design, price and scheduling. You listened, blended some of your good ideas with our ideas, and proposed a design that was perfect for our lifestyle.

Ultimately, our home was built within budget and within schedule. A good builder, whether in residential or commercial construction, can generally build a good product.

What distinguishes a "good builder" from the "excellent builder" are the qualities we looked for initially and found in you – passion, competence, integrity and an exceptionally nice man to work with. We both feel that we not only hired an excellent builder, but made a friend on Cape Cod as well.

I wanted to thank you for all of your help through the process of building my home. It has been such a pleasure to work with such a professional builder and an extremely helpful general contractor. The pressure that goes along with building a house was very small do to your constant attention to detail. I never felt that I couldn't ask a question or suggest something. You were open to questions and even gave me some suggestions of your own (even after the house was built and the questions kept coming)!

In the years prior to my building my home I began to hear stories of how people had received poor service from their builders. I began to dread the one thing I had looked forward to for so long. Now, after the house is complete, I can honestly say that it was less complicated than I was expecting. I feel sorry for those people I spoke to before because they did not have Hamilton Homes build their home.

I must admit I had many reservations about having my own home built rather than buying one already lived in. Being a single parent and one only a little knowledgeable about construction, I hesitated about making the decision to build. After we passed papers last November you told us to make a list of anything that wasn't right and that you would take care of it. Well, here we are in May and we really don't have a list. Everyone that we dealt with, from the carpet people to the cabinet man was professional and their work was just outstanding.
